Waterly Rounds Update 2026-01-19

Updates

We're excited to share this month's updates focused on improving navigation and data visualization throughout the Waterly platform. These enhancements make it easier to see log book entries, track your metrics over time, navigate efficiently through your data, and take full advantage of your workspace—whether you're reviewing historical trends or managing daily rounds.

Log Book Dashboard!

Introducing Log Book Dashboard.  A centralized area to search for, filter, and view logs collected from log book enteries!  You can access this by clicking Waterly in the top right, then Log Book Dashboard on the System Overview page.

Streamlined Navigation Controls

Throughout Waterly, we've standardized our navigation indicators: double chevrons (« ») now advance by day, while single chevrons (‹ ›) move by interval. This consistent visual language helps you navigate more efficiently through your rounds entries and quickly jump to the timeframe you need.

Enhanced Metric History Date Synchronization

When viewing metric history, the date range now automatically syncs with your current position in the data timeline. For example, if you navigate back to January 8, 2026 to review Rounds data and open metric history, the history view will display the range January 2–9, matching the time period you're viewing. This synchronized navigation ensures you're always seeing the relevant historical context for your current data view.

Standardized Date Sorting

All dated lists across the platform now display in consistent descending order (newest to oldest), making it easier to find your most recent data at a glance.

Email Sending Option for Completion

You will now find an option for sending a completion email when data entry is marked as complete.  You can select from Always, Never, or Prompt to send email.  This will help keep everyone informed of data entry completion.

Expanded Widescreen Support

For users with wider displays, pages now expand further to utilize your available screen real estate, giving you more room to view and analyze your data without unnecessary scrolling.

Behind the Scenes

We've also made improvements to our internal backend tools and resolved several minor bugs to enhance overall platform stability and performance.

As always, we are grateful for all of our water and wastewater superheroes that we get to work with every day. We hope you enjoy the new features, but as always, we welcome your suggestions, comments, and complaints. The future of Waterly is driven by your input, so please keep the feedback coming by support ticket, phone call, email, or carrier pigeon.
