New Reports Experience

Background:

Traditionally, report access in Waterly has been organized at the individual system level within an organization. For example, an organization like Anytown, USA may include both a water system and a wastewater system. To access water reports you would need to swith back and forth between both systems to get the appropriate reports. This made accessing reports for multiple systems a time consuming  process.

This update introduces a new reporting experience in Waterly Rounds that expands report access from a single-system view to an organizational one. It creates an organizational "reports dashboard" that brings together reports from all of the systems you have permission to access.

By going to Reports, you can now view reports across all assigned systems from one screen and use that centralized dashboard to filter, preview, create, and edit reports more efficiently.

This creates a simpler way for teams managing multiple systems, including contract operations teams and multi-utility owners, to work across monthly operating reports, compliance reports, chemical inventory reports, and analytical reports without moving system by system.

The new organizational reporting experience in Waterly Rounds gives users a centralized view of reports across the systems they have permission to access. From one dashboard, teams can filter, preview, create, and edit reports more efficiently.

Brief note about Analytical Reports: Waterly Analytics is a separate reporting feature that helps organizations turn large volumes of operational data into dashboards and custom reports. By bringing together data from across systems and sources, it supports deeper analysis and more informed decision-making than standard reporting alone. Here the filtering tool is showing that you can access all the reports across the systems you have access to.

Now that you can see all your reports in one place anm use search and filtering tools to manage and find all your reports. Search and Filter terms work together to narrow your results. In the example below you can see that we are narrowing our results to site reports that contain the word "small".

At any point in working with filters and searches you can clear out all your criteria. Clicking Clear Filters will reset the page to show all reports that you as a user have access to.

Bookmarking your views

The search and filtering terms will be preserved in your bookmark allowing you to return back to this view without having to recreate the filters.

To the right of each report you will see a series of icons that will allow you to Edit, View, and Download (PDF or Excel) each report.
