How to Create QR codes for Waterly Rounds

QR Codes in Waterly Rounds provide convenient links to specific processes and components in your sites. This can make accessing Rounds even easier for experienced users and assist with adoption of the application for new users.

Potential Applications

  • QR codes are most useful when they are printed out on a sticker that is placed near a process (i.e. Raw Pumps, Blowers, Finished Water, etc.) that you frequently visit when you are doing your rounds. Placing a QR code on the first of three pumps will allow you to jump to those pumps by scanning the QR code with your phone.
  • Or, you could print and place a QR code of the first process for that site on the door to a building as you go in, so that you can scan it as you go in and start your rounds quicker.
  • Or consider using a QR code near a sample tap that you record field data in Waterly Rounds (i.e. Raw Water, Finished Water, etc.)
  • Most facilities find that printing QR codes on durable/industrial labels (just search for “Industrial QR Code Labels” produces a QR code that lasts for years in the field.

  • The “Show Top Text” checkbox determines whether the label above the QR code shows up when you print it.
  • Clicking or tapping the QR Code itself will copy the QR code without the Top Text (“Tank 1” in this example). You can paste it wherever you like.
  • Clicking the “Print” button will take you to a print preview window.
  • Clicking the “Save button will allow you to save the QR code as a .png file.
  • The CLOSE button closes the QR code pop-up, or you can click outside the popup to close the window as well.
